April Introductory Rowing Clinic
Learn rowing/crew in a safe small-group setting. Clinic participants are eligible to become Rogue Rowing Members.

Lake sessions are April 25, 26 and May 2, 3 10 am -noon. Participants select two of the four offered lake session dates to attend.
Clinic Description
The clinic includes an evening of indoor training to learn dry-land rowing technique and two weekend mornings on the water at Emigrant Lake.
Rogue Rowing’s boat barn is located at 175 Emigrant Lake Road (on the left side) just before Emigrant Lake dam, at the crest of the hill. Park in the lot across the road and not on the side of the road (where you are likely to get a parking ticket).
For the lake sessions arrive 15 minutes early, allowing time to walk from your parking spot to the outdoor boat racks.
What to Wear and Bring
Indoor session
- full water bottle (no potable water at the boat house)
- clothing for exercise. Layers are good. It can be cold.
- athletic shoes
- very warm jacket. It can be cold when not exercising.
Lake sessions
- polypro, wool or fleece snug-fitting layers (as the weather requires). Cotton or loose clothing is NOT recommended.
- full plastic water bottle (glass or metal will damage the boats)
- a hat or headband
- sunscreen
- old shoes that are easy to pull off and leave on the dock.
- socks to be worn in the boat
Mail-in pre-registration is now open for this clinic. Space is limited.

- print and sign this waiver
- attach an $80 check made payable to Rogue Rowing
If there is space available, you may bring the forms and payment with you on the night of the clinic, but please let us know in advance if you plan to attend.
What’s Next?
After completing our Introductory Clinic, you can sign up for a 6 week Green group rowing session designed for beginning rowers. These courses teach safety, rowing technique, boat control, equipment care and handling and rowing traffic pattern on Emigrant Lake.
