Introduction to Junior Rowing

The Junior Rowing Program offers rowing for high school and junior high school age boys and girls in the Rogue Valley. Junior rowers come from many of the Rogue Valley high schools and middle schools including Ashland, North Medford, South Medford, St. Mary's, Logos Charter, The Siskiyou School and many more!  The sport is recognized as an official spring sport (credit and/or varsity letter status) at many of the high schools.

Without realizing it, rowing teaches endless lessons such as teamwork, commitment, time management, respect, and a strong work ethic all which extend 'beyond the boat' into their present and future academic and professional lives.  The reasons junior rowers try the sport in the first place are endless; it is one of the fastest growing sports in the country with more college scholarship opportunities per high school athlete then any other sport.

We train on Emigrant Lake from the Rogue Rowing boathouse.
