A vital component of the Outdoor Center is the inclusion of an accessible dock to allow ALL an opportunity to access the water and wonderful benefits of being on it. Enabling the dock to be handicap accessible is a major priority and will greatly enhance the experience and opportunities for those within our adaptive rowing program. With the increased usage of the dock due to expanding programming and membership, a durable dock would be installed.
The dock will be fully paid for with funds raised by Rogue Rowing, but will be installed based on approval from Jackson County Parks and the Oregon State Marine Board. Additionally, the dock(s) and ramps will be open to public use when members of the Outdoor Center are not using them. This is currently the agreement in effect with the existing dock used by Rogue Rowing located near the existing boat barn. Safety rules would be applied to the dock and ramps to be followed by all. More stringent safety rules would be expected than the current structure
